June bought us cooling temperatures and still, sunny days. Over the Queen’s Birthday long weekend we saw patrons stream through the grounds enjoying the extended respite by the riverside. Confidential Catering teamed up with us over these busy days to provide gourmet burgers and fries, including a BBQ smoked pulled pork burger, a chicken zing burger, classic beef burger and a vegan spiced chickpea burger. These went down a treat with our wood-fired oven pizzas and Sangria. We had “Two in the House “ supplying the weekend’s entertainment by the gum trees.
A group of horse lovers brought their beautiful horses to visit Caudo, staying in arranged camping the night prior and then spending the following day enjoying the riverside views and vineyard trails on horseback. An array of horses made up the party, including palominos and arabs, all enjoying the fresh air and sunshine of the day.
Furthermore, the Marathon Canoe Club came through, a group of approximately 100 canoeists who compete in a 3-day event each year on the long weekend, travelling from Berri to Morgan. We supplied them with coffees and toasties to refuel them for their journey ahead.
We launched our new winter merchandise in June with a range of cosy, comfortable and on-trend items, which comprised tan hoodies, black and grey trackie pants, and navy/white and red/black rugby jerseys all designed to keep our patrons toasty warm and stylish during these cooler months. These are all available in our website store. Our staff also got kitted out in new winter uniforms to keep them warm over the winter period. Pizza crew are decked our in red and navy rugbys, kitchen staff in black rugbys and bar staff with softshell jackets, a unique fit for each crew yet unified as one team. We’ve enjoyed the events June has provided and look forward to what’s to come!
Our wine maker John Schwartzkopff is working hard to develop and perfect our 2021 vintage into a range of new wines which will be available in our cellar door towards the end of the year. We’re looking forward to the fresh update!
