Caudo Capers

We had our Big Shed Wine Sale over July again this year.  Plenty of shoppers came to take advantage of the great specials we had on offer.  It was great to see some familiar faces from last year.

We experienced a lot of wet, windy and very chilly weather over July, but we also had some sunny winter days to brighten the mood.

Some very special visitors called in during the month – from Storm Troopers to many families taking the chance to get away in the school holidays and enjoy their winter getaway by the river.

The grand Murray Princess paid us a visit again during the month.  Her guests are always eager to embark and enjoy a stroll around our Cellar Door grounds, taking in the spectacular scenery, the Queeenscliff Art display and participating in our wine and Sangria tastings.  They even bring out their Bocce and partake in a few games on the banks of the Mighty Murray.

The river has risen considerably over the last few months, so we need patrons arriving by water to be extremely careful when mooring at our banks.

Maintenance at our Cellar Door commenced at the beginning of August which saw us close for the entire month, to not only get this work done but to give our hardworking staff a much deserved break before the summer season begins in earnest.

We will be back bright and eager to see you all again come September and hopefully we’ll have some beautiful Spring weather to enjoy by then as well.

See you soon!

Regretfully due to the damage we received to our grounds and buildings from the 2022 River Murray floods, our Cellar door is now PERMANENTLY CLOSED.

But don’t be dismayed….
