What a weekend!! One of our top weekends this year. A great crowd, plenty of new faces and fantastic feedback. We sold out of pizzas on Sunday and the staff were run off their feet. More tables and chairs are on their way and we are looking into shading the top area.
What’s happening at the Cellar door this weekend?
We are straight back into it this Saturday we will close early at 3pm for Sharon and Matt’s wedding. We will still be doing Tasting Platter and BBQ lunch but please get in early as the kitchen will close by 2pm.
Sunday we will be open all day from 10.30am. The wood fire pizza oven will be fired up and be serving pizzas from noon. Four varieties of pizzas to choose from, great for sharing and perfect with a glass of local wine.
Classic Adelaide
We are incredibly pumped for next weekend!!! FUELED BY SANGRIA!
The Gouger Street party is going to be insane and a bit of a sneak peek as to what will be happening at the cellar door on the 31st October for “DAY OF THE DEAD”!!!
The Classic Adelaide Rally will be hosted in Adelaide (Victoria Park), the Adelaide Hills and Fleurieu Peninsula and travelling through stages and roads used by the original Classic Adelaide Rally held from 1997 to 2009.
The sound of former Formula 1 cars will be a highlight of the festival as they compete on a section of the former Grand Prix circuit inside Victoria Park. It will also showcase a range of historic touring and sports cars, as well as classic motor cycles and a display of classic cars from by-gone eras.

Weddings
The wedding season has started with a number of weddings coming up to celebrate their special day at the Cellar Door. Green lawns, rose gardens and a breathtaking view of the river, Caudo Vineyard certainly has it all when it comes to outdoor wedding venues in the Riverland. Weekend Weather Forecast
After a very hot first week we settle into some cooler weather as a strong cold front moves through bringing cool winds. There is a high possibility of thunderstorms for Saturday with a chance of rain in the afternoon and light winds. It will be the first rain for the month. Sunday will clear with more sunny conditions and a top of 32 degrees.
What’s happening this weekend in the Riverland?
Loxton Hotel presents Latest Live 2015. Bringing back the popular music festival with fantastic food and a line up of great entertainment featuring Jamie Macdowell who is back by popular demand. Blues, cover, rock, acoustic and Indie pop performances all day. $5 entry for adults. The Sangria Van will be there!!
The annual Renmark and Riverland Rose Festival is on in Renmark from the 16th to the 25th of October. Australia’s biggest rose festival with the largest spectacle of roses in the Southern Hemisphere. Check out the full program at www.renmarkroses.com
River Rock Rockers at the Renmark Hotel Galaxy room from 7.30pm. 50’s and 60’s style rock and roll dancing.
Snake Warning
During early spring when the temperatures start to rise so do the number of snake sightings. Now is great time to clean up the backyard; cut the grass short, tidy sheds and eliminate sources of cover where snakes can hide.
Advice to Boat Operators
As from the 6th of October, the Chowilla Creek will be closed to navigation for approximately ten weeks due to operational requirements. SA Water apologies for the inconvenience.
Caudo Vineyard History Fact
Caudo Vineyard is renowned for its beautiful roses, as the property was originally known as a rose farm. In honour of its heritage, the vine blocks are named after rose varieties and the Caudo Vineyard logo is a red rose.
