April saw the long-awaited arrival of our new Sangria range – still the same great four flavours, but now in a 330ml bottle 6 pack. This literally dropped the day before Easter and proved to be a winner over the long weekend. The new range is now available in our online store along with all our new wines and merchandise.

The weather on Easter Saturday was perfect, warm and sunny, which meant huge crowds at our Cellar Door. We had rock band “Open Slather” entertaining the masses on both Saturday and Sunday, belting out well known tunes that everyone could all sing along to – a great weekend was had by all who stopped by, even though the weather turned on Sunday afternoon with winds and rain. This didn’t deter patrons who had settled in on the banks of the mighty Murray to enjoy some fine wine, Sangria and delicious food.
This year we had Q-Eats come in to help ease the load with the food. They provided burgers and chips and also chicken nuggets for the kids. This, along with our own wood-fired pizzas, tasting platters, table-top BBQ’s and chicken nachos meant no long waits and no-one went hungry that’s for sure!
School holidays also began in South Australia on Good Friday, so families were able to stay longer in the Riverland area and enjoy some welcomed time away from home. The weather was lovely for the holidays so we had many visitors coming to while away their days at our Cellar Door, just relaxing and taking in the breathtaking scenery that is Caudo Vineyard.
This year we celebrated Arbor Day on the 29th – customers who bought a tree to plant at the vineyard received a free jug of our famous Sangria. Many customers took up the offer and the trees were a welcomed addition to our magnificent grounds.
We hope you can pop in soon and take a look at all that’s new at Caudo Vineyard
