Classic Adelaide Returns!

Motorsport has been running through our family veins longer than Sangria.  I had been in the womb for 3 months and I got to experience my first Adelaide Grand Prix in November of 1985.  I was told Ayrton Senna and Niki Lauda were sitting on the tables next to us at The Grand Prix ball.  So imagine me today when I got to line my Sangria van up next to 8 Million dollars worth of F1 cars.  The black John Player special car is the car that Ayrton Senna came third in the 1985 Adelaide Grand Prix.  Day made! Even more excited for this weekend.

Six years have past and no Classic Adelaide.  My bones jumped out of my skin and onto my car with excitement at the return of Classic adelaide and formula 1 cars to adelaide.

Meet The “SANGRIADORE” 1981 VC Brock Commodore

We are behind this event with all our passion. We want this event to stay for ever!

The Classic Adelaide is the first Tarmac Rally I ever went too. I use to go and watch it every year.  The vibe in Adelaide when motorsport comes to town is electric.

I get to tear up the streets of Adelaide in one of the greatest Aussie Muscle cars ever produced.
With one of my best mates next to me.
Friends and family helping to promote our company, this city, state and sport.
Fueled by Sangria (after racing…)

Lets just say I am so freaking stoked for this upcoming weekend!!

It is going to be one Amazing night!

Vintage Motorsport Festival 17th & 18th October

http://www.adelaidemotorsportfestival.com.au/

Victoria Park becomes Classic Car Central  for 2 days in October 2015 as the Adelaide Parklands venue is transformed into the hub for the coming together of two significant motorsport events, both with a nostalgic theme.

The Adelaide Motorsport Festival is a virtual “museum-in-motion”. A three-day festival that draws upon South Australia’s rich motorsport history and celebrates and re-enacts motorsport competition of a by-gone era. Friday 16th and Saturday 17th will see the Classic Adelaide Rally spirit as the cars use Victoria Park as the base for each day of the rally before heading to the Hills and Fleurieu to compete.  On Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th Victoria Park comes alive to the sights and sounds of Grand Prix cars  and support categories on a section of the original Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix Circuit in the East Parklands.

The Victoria Park Sprint is rounded out with a diverse field of historic touring cars, sports cars and classic motorcycles that are welcome to enter as well as displays from some of the greatest classic cars from across the years as well as selected modern categories.
