Dinghy Derby Madness!

We are just absolutely so freaking excited for this event! What a story for the Riverland getting Red Bull in and really start to back this sport!!! And what a sport it is, hats off to the boys who started this all those years ago!

Get up to the Renmark Club this weekends from Friday night and catch the action of the Dash For Cash. Then hang around till Sunday for the main event. www.dinghyderby.com.au

I (Zac) jumped in our little Sangria tinnnie for the first time yesterday with my mate Oli Du Rieu (creator of La Mule) who hasn’t raced in 3 years. www.lamule.com.au

Now I have raced a lot of different things and done a lot of crazy stuff, but this is next level.  Flying along at 70-80km hour, in a tiny aluminium bath tub, through a tiny creek, in water you can’t even see what is under it, wearing only a life jacket and a helmet.  It is simply amazing.

We have also gone all out this weekend to support the event, vans, boats and Sangria will all be there so hopefully will catch up with you for a drink!
Wish us luck!

What’s happening in Adelaide

Well you all know we have a soft spot in our hearts for our beloved water loving surf life savers. This Sunday, for the 11th year running, Brighton SLSC is holding its award winning community event and fundraiser – the Brighton Jetty Classic!

The Brighton esplanade turns into a street festival! Theres main stage entertainment, a sculpture exhibition, the presence of Home and Away stars, fantastic ocean swims and surf ski races around the jetty for the active ocean lovers and anyone willing to give it a go!

When we hear of such an incredible event, we can do nothing but live true to our Moto – “Wines inspired by our lifestyle!” So you better believe that on the bar of the Brighton SLSC, there will be a big display box full of ice cold Sangrias ready to go! So kick back, relax, enjoy the festivities and be proud of what our SA communities create!

Sangrias-a-flowin at another great bar in town! Head down The Parade and a sneaky up stairs bar holds a fantastic venue! Ballroom Billiard is an absolute gem! A massive pool hall that makes you feel like you may have just stepped into the board game Jumanji. It’s super chilled, has giant characters of all walks of life popping out of the walls, painting with eyes that move (we’re almost certain), people playing pool from the roof (literally) and the greatest part of all….Sangria on tap selling at $15 a jug!! If you don’t know of it already… There’s now no excuse to go check it out! Play a casual game of pool, sip on Sangria and emerge yourself in the cool culture the place holds. For the more competitive types, there’s pool competitions every Tuesday at 7pm to get involved in.

Love is in the air

That one holiday of the year that some love and others loathe.. Valentine’s Day. It’s just around the corner too.. And we thought it a good opportunity just to reflect on the things we love most at Caudo Vineyard.

  1. Home

Home is where the heart is. We certainly are blessed to have a venue with so much character, beauty and history that we can share with the public. Tucked away off the beaten track and nestled among wildlife and spectacular river scenes, the cellar door is a pleasant surprise for new visitors. With a little inspiration and determination, our little boat shed on the river’s edge was transformed into a cellar door boasting lifestyle, quality Riverland grown wine and a breathtaking view of the Murray River.

  2. Family

Family is a big one. Caudo Vineyard is a passionate family owned and run business. Our Caudo Vineyard team of staff act like one big family. Although there are times we don’t agree, everyone here has each other’s back. The support and teamwork is the glue to our business and drives our success.

  3. River

Fortunate for all Riverlanders, we have this amazing Murray River at our fingertips. The river is a huge part of our lifestyle at Caudo’s and for so many reasons. Enjoy the peace and serenity while fishing or the thrilling action behind a boat full of mates. Home to feathers, fur and fins, the Murray river is one of the best getaway locations you will ever experience. We love that there’s always something interesting to see or do on the river. The best part? We have it all at our doorstep.

  4. People

We meet some characters during our time at the Cellar Door and we love it. We love our regulars, who week and after week pop in for their fix of Sangria and a tasting platter with friends. We love the numerous backpackers that have worked with us, made us laugh and entertained us with their travel stories. Through the Cellar Door, we have got to know some very interesting people resulting in long term friendships. We love the social, fun loving (Sangria loving) crowds of people the Cellar Door attracts. There is something here for everyone, young and old.

  5. Wine and Sangria

Don’t call us alcoholics but there is nothing we love more than a good wine, or especially in our case.. a top notch Sangria!! We are passionate about our Riverland grown produce and very proud of it. We have been producing our own wine since 2011 -always improving, experimenting and bringing you premium Caudo Vineyard wine. The Sangria, launched 3 years ago, has taken off like a rocket. Some great times and fantastic memories have been made over a jug or two of our famous Sangria ( but be careful not to drink too much or there won’t be any memories ). It’s not hard to sell a product that sells itself and we love that you keep coming back for more.

We would love to hear from you. Rate us on our Facebook page and tell us what you love about Caudo Vineyard.
