2021 is here!
We bought in the new year with live entertainment from one of our favourites, Liam Halford. His vocal range impresses us every time he performs. He truly has a talent that everyone needs to experience. Our patrons waved goodbye to a hectic and unprecedented 2020 and embraced the chilled vibes that the new year bought to our Cellar Door.
As Australia Day approached, we could sense our patrons were keen to celebrate, and of course, we were here to accommodate. From Saturday the 23rd to the 26th of January, we created a festive atmosphere, with Australian flags and balloons decorating the Cellar Door to the max! To ramp up the celebratory mood, we had DJ Luke play his tunes on Sunday the 24th – a great weekend was enjoyed by one and all.
Classic to Australia, we were hit with some crazy weather over this period – 46 degrees one day and raining the next! Nevertheless, our patrons found comfort with a swim at our riverfront. Many groups pulled in to our venue by boat, enjoyed a couple of our refreshing Sangrias and a bite to eat and carried on with their water sports and activities. There is nothing more wholesome than seeing families and friends come together during this time and using this weather to enjoy some quality summer fun by the river.
The end of January saw the beginning of our 2021 Grape Harvest. Ripe berries were ready for the picking in our Verdelho and Chardonnay patches. The cool morning saw the berries come off easily – a wonderful sight and just the start of a promising season.
We are excited to see these two varieties going to bottling for some new varietals at our Cellar Door.
We are all full of positivity for 2021. We know that things are looking up from here. We will continue to create a happy and chilled atmosphere at our Cellar Door and we look forward to seeing you all.
