Weekend of Weddings

The Cellar Door closed last Saturday for a particularly special wedding; our very own cellar door manager, Jasmine and her partner Terry. After planning and organising weddings at Caudo Vineyard with countless brides and grooms in the past, Jas found her own wedding a piece of wedding cake.

“Caudos is like a second home to me and I could not think of a better place to get married. It was beyond amazing.”

A late afternoon ceremony was held at the river bank in the shade of the sentinel river gum trees. Jasmine arrived by boat with her bridal party and later, guests enjoyed drinks at the Cellar door before heading to a marquee for the reception. The marquee was filled with festoon lights and flowers, had a retro style 1970’s caravan bar and featured a massive dance floor. Lauren Burdett played some acoustic music and the bride and groom were subject to “The infamous Shoe Game” (Google that one).

The night kicked off after a fun dance routine from the bridal party. The Sangria poured and the celebrations continued. After a big night of amazing food (the dessert to die for), embarrassing dance moves and plenty of champagne, the bride and groom eventually retired to houseboats.

The newlyweds plan on honeymooning in Europe next year.

Please join us in congratulating Mr Terry and Mrs Jasmine Morgan on their fantastic wedding. It was certainly a day to remember.

The family and staff would also like to congratulate James Wu on his marriage to his beautiful new wife Carla which was on the 8th of November in McLaren Vale. Best wishes for your future together.

What’s happening at the Cellar door this weekend?

Our much loved menu of Local Tasting Platters and BBQs are waiting to be enjoyed this weekend as the pizza oven is taking a weekend off. Please note we will be closing at 2pm on Saturday for Holly and Luke’s wedding so please pop in early to avoid disappointment,

Sunday will be business as usual. Call up the friends, pack the sunscreen and enjoy a lazy afternoon by the river with a few cold ones. We think you deserve it.

Weekend Weather Forecast

The clouds are clearing today for a sunny weekend ahead. There are some southerly winds up to 25km/h throughout the weekend but we are looking forward to a gorgeous 27 degree Spring day. The weather is perfect for being outdoors and soaking up some sunshine before it gets too hot. The ideal weather to throw a line in the river.

What’s New?

The Sangria t-shirts, we brought in not too long ago, are leaving the cellar door like hot cakes. We now have brand new Caudo Sangria singlets which were released at Day of the Dead. The singlets come in both black and white and are light, loose fitting and casual to wear. Perfect to wear in the warm summer weather. Pick up yours from the cellar door on your next visit.
