Winding Down & Revving up

We are slowly winding down and getting back to reality from an epic Easter extravaganza weekend with Mitchell Cullens and The Skeleton Club Band. Don’t stress if you missed out – we are going to announce some very exciting news soon. June 12th.. Keep the date free! Just as that dust has settled we are gearing up for into True Grit – where there will be plenty of dust, dirt and mud!

We are counting down the days now to one of our favourite annual events at Caudo Vineyard… TRUE GRIT! It’s back for the fourth year now at our vineyard and we can’t begin to tell you how pumped we are. It’s the most action packed weekend with thousands of fun, enthusiastic competitors! You can still register online, so gather your mates, colleagues and family members together and get some killer team shirts printed.

If it isn’t your thing, that’s ok. Join the spectators at the bar and enjoy a Caudo Sangria or Four Pines Beer while your mates are out on the course. There’s also entertainment all day, loads of food, merchandise and plenty of action to do and see. 7th and 8th of May!

Sangrias Sensational Sales Reps spreading the love!

Western Australia

Symonne is super excited about some great new locations and a growing list of fans saying “it’s becoming a very sought after drink in WA”.

Mandurah recently held their annual CrabFest with gorgeous sunny weather drawing crowds of around one hundred thousand people down to the Foreshore.  Sangria was the drink of choice with the Sangria sippy cup being an absolute winner at The Peninsula Mandurah.  Amazing views, live music and a chance for locals and visitors alike to take in all the sights during the weekend festivities.  The weekend was a huge success with a tonne of markets, waterskiing and wakeboarding demos, celebrity cooking displays and what’s a festival without singing and dancing!

Heading to the lovely South Perth and we hit one of our latest venues, The Windsor Hotel. A very popular establishment that has been around for many years.  With it’s heritage charm and great vibe, The Windsor is one of the places to be seen in Perth.  Always a favourite with many travellers.  Happy to say our Sangria is the newest drink on the menu and sure to be a hit with fans.

Moving south, Condellos in Bunbury is one of the largest stockists in the southern region.  A very popular stopping point for those heading further south or just staying in the area throughout the holidays.  Caudo’s Sangria love is steadily growing in this region with a strong fan base already loving both the Red and the White.

Heading across shores now towards Rottnest Island, the Rottnest General Store staff are in love with Sangria!  With many travellers and holidaymakers to the Island, the Rottnest General store is the one and only place to stock up whilst on the island.

So now with the colder months coming in WA, Sangria will be heading north to warmer climates.  With the first pitstop at the already stocked Queens Super IGA liquor, a favourite amongst Geraldton locals, we will then be shooting further along the coast to Broome.  Keep your eyes peeled with some great new stockists in these gorgeous WA locations.

South Australia

We have had a busy season full of excitement and great vibes.

Our cellar door has been buzzing with new visitors and travellers from afar! Our regulars are continually bringing their friends and relatives along to join our cellar door family! ‘Adelaidians’ are taking the leisurely 2hr drive to come experience the Riverland, some for the first time! It’s this support and excitement that has seen Caudo Vineyard’s Sangria reach even further across our state to its beautiful country and coastal towns!

Requests from bottle shops and bars are rolling in from areas we have not yet visited. New road trips have opened up opportunities to drop into some of the fantastic SA watering holes and introduce ourselves. Jen loves to hear “I have seen this drink before” and gets that response often from new clients. More trendy Adelaide bars with great beer gardens and rooftops are excited to introduce the drink to their venues!

SAs world class wine regions are chasing down the Riverland Sangria to add to their extensive list of quality products! Our fantastic new venues we are proud to have on board this Autumn are –
Hahndorf Wine Centre – Adelaide Hills, Clare Hotel “The Middle Pub”.
Austral Inn – Quorn, Ceduna Foreshore Hotel, Ayre Hotel – Whyalla.
The Robin Hood, The Oxford, Majestic Rooftop Bar and Moana Heights Cellarbrations!

We would like to thank everyone who has helped spread the Sangria love and cellar door vibe! We wouldn’t be here without you! Next stop, the Sangria Sales reps are venturing north… Far north! Darwin!! So if you have any recommendations or places you would like to see with the Sangria in Darwin shoot us through an email or Facebook message.

Feeling Rosé

It’s autumn! It’s that in between weather when you don’t know if you want to reach for a white wine or go for a red. We’re pretty sure autumn is the reason Rosé was invented! And our Rosé is delicious! It was awarded bronze medal in one of Australia’s largest shows – The Royal Melbourne Wine Awards. When you taste it, you will know why. It’s a gorgeous, fresh strawberry middle pallet rose with a crisp dry finish. For something different (as we like to do) it’s made from our Tempranillo grapes which is uncommon in the rose world and venue managers are quickly snapping it up for their bottle shops and on premise wine lists! If you would like to try our ‘Wine pick of the month’ you will find it at our cellar door or thanks to the support of our partners maybe a venue closer to you –

Cellar Door Events

This weekend is shaping up to be an entertaining one. Louis Fuller from Adelaide is playing from 1pm on Saturday, 23rd. Bringing his easy listening sounds to the river, Louis is keen for his first appearance at Caudo Vineyard.

Sunday, Georgia Mannion is coming back to the cellar door, this time not as a patron but as a first time performer here as well. An incredible voice and you would not believe she is only 13 years of age. Accompanying her is talented country singer, Emily Smith.

Weather Forecast

Could this weather be any better lately!? The river is looking stunning and the best it has looked all year. The water tanks are low but there’s a chance Thursday could bring some much needed showers. Friday will clear bringing in sunny weather for the long weekend. A gradual temperature increase heading into next week. We will get to enjoy this warm sunny autumn weather for a little longer yet.
